Luisa Phillips
Graphic Designer | Illustrator | Website Developer
Luisa Phillips is a UK-based graphic designer specialising in branding, web, and digital design for small businesses and organisations. A long-standing colleague and friend, Luisa has supported my work for over a decade, bringing her expertise, creativity, and consistency to everything from websites to visual identity.
When I began writing Balancing Act, it quickly became clear that the ideas and frameworks needed to be brought to life visually. Luisa was the obvious choice. She took my rough sketches and early concepts and transformed them into the illustrations you now see throughout the book and across the Balancing Act platform, work that adds depth, accessibility, and personality to the thinking behind the words.
Professionally, Luisa works as a freelance designer, offering end-to-end creative support from initial concept through to final production across both print and digital channels. Her work spans branding, website design, and marketing collateral, helping clients create cohesive, recognisable visual identities that work across platforms.
Earlier in her career, Luisa produced design for interactive exhibits and experiential brand environments, contributing to projects for high-profile cultural and commercial clients. That background shows in her ability to think spatially, digitally, and strategically, not just aesthetically.
Luisa is known for her highly creative yet grounded approach. She manages projects from brief to delivery with care and precision, working comfortably across branding, UI layout, and marketing design while maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout. Her ability to translate ideas into clear, engaging visuals has been central to shaping the Balancing Act brand and the book itself.
